Speaking of Air Itam curry, most people would link it to the famous Sister's curry mee/bangku curry mee in the morning. In the afternoon, you can find one of the greatest Penang's curry mee at the golden hour of 1-5, just at Jalan Air Itam, off Jalan Pasar. It is a family business and what amazed me was their systematic and efficient handling from taking order until serving.
Gravy, pungent and hot bowl of curry mee (RM4 big & RM 3.50 small), spicy eater would really enjoy their level of spiciness. Just great enough before loosing the subtle taste of the broth.Â
There are other foods available inside the food court, just behind the curry mee's stall. Bisu Laksa (RM 4 big & RM 3.50 small), it does getting more and more spicy as I eat along. We personally find the taste wasn't impress in first sip but it gets a lot better and even greater after that.
