If you have been a frequent visitor to New World Park, you must have notice there is humble a coffee shop next to it, sitting opposite a small Chinese temple next to previous Lai Lai supermarket (current APT Hair Academy building) In Penang, you will usually find Mee Goreng fried by Indian, but this was fried by Chinese.
Mee Goreng (RM 4.50) The ingredients used are the same like usual but what makes it special is the sauce. Their sauce was self make from tomatoes. Compared to Esplanade Mee Sotong, it is more dry and less spicy. However, I like the delectable tomato scent and crunchy peanut topping. It is disappointing that no fresh lime juice to go along with the noodle. They offer Mee Rebus, Fried Koay Teow and Fried rice too.
Tempted by the huge banner promoting their Dumpling Wantan Mee (RM 3.50) at the side of the coffee shop, we ordered one to try. It was above average. The noodle was very chewy and Q but the dumpling didn't give us the Wow kick though.
Looks nice. Thanks for introducing! :-)
