This humble Asam Laksa has been around this neighborhood for at least 10 years and recently I have revisited them with mystery man as he never try before. The business seem to be passed down to a bunch of young peoples which we believe are Tauke's children. Â The seat setting may not be great for heat-intolerance and sometime may get a little surprise from dropping leaf, but they offers authentic asam laksa and a number of toothsome snacks. It has been a popular place for the nearby residents when they are yearning for something during their high tea hour.
Asam Laksa ( RM 3.30 Small/ RM 3.80 Big) was a little sour and sweet but wasn't spicy for us. The scent of mackerel fish and shrimp paste was mild. Shrimp paste lover should request for more.
Savoring their laksa won't be dull as there are selling Deep Fried Poh Piah (RM 0.70), Banana Fritter (RM 0.50), Chicken Wing (RM 2.00) and Popcorn chicken (RM 4.00) too. The poh piah is good to go with their chili sauce or dip it with laksa broth. The banana fritter has very strong banana scent to our liking. Their popcorn chicken is the hot selling item where we think one bowl is not enough for us. Besides that, Mee Hun, Mee and red bean dessert is available too.
