The more we explore the foods in the Bayan Lepas, the more hidden gems we found. Ah Niu Wantan Mee has recently upgraded his business to owning a shop in Sungai Ara. Due to its wide variety of wantan mee choices and scrumptious poached chicken, they have drawn a lot patrons during peak hours. Undeniably a great place to for us to enjoy a quick meal or snack anytime.
Updated on March 7th, 2017: They have opened their outlet at Lebuh Carnavon. Besides, they have expanded their menu selling set meal for both lunch and dinner, plus more customize option for your meal .
BBQ Pork Wantan Noodle (small RM 4/ big RM 5), springy noodle evenly dressed with dark soy sauce and sesame oil, topped with reddish BBQ pork and fresh choy sum. 3 pieces of dumplings came in separate bowl of soup. There isn't much to wow for their dumplings. However, their piquant noodle would be the main draw for our revisit.
Fried Wantan Noodle (RM 4), their BBQ pork only included if mentioned in the menu. We can hear the crunching sound clearly when we bite their fried wantans.
Dumpling Noodle (small RM 5.50/big RM 6.50) was rather on the pricey side. However, comparing to wantans, this dumplings has more filling and the prawns are much visible.
Poached Chicken (small RM 5/big RM 10) would be their must-try side dish. Tender and moist chicken basted with sesame oil and soya sauce, given extra touch with ginger slices and shallot leafs.

I had experienced the difficulty to gather my ex-colleague to try out Ah Niu as not every of them a fans of wantan mee. We thought Ah Niu's has brilliantly expanded their menu has really solved my problem. The set meal not only scrumptious, but value for money. With just RM 9.90, the rice meal is completed with soup and drink. We would consider their meal suitable for patrons like us who more keen to richer in taste. A simple and satiating meal to kill our hunger away, and makes us wanted to come back for more.

On a side note, the soy bean drink selling in white van, located just opposite Ah Niu Wantan Noodle is another must-try. A lot patrons from the vicinity brought their own big bottle to buy their soy drink. For sugar, you may choose between white syrup or black syrup. We enjoyed the bold scent of soya bean and the sweetness level just great.
