Another recommendation by reader after my post on top 10 mee goreng in Penang, and the recommendation has indeed turn to a joyful experience. Mee Goreng Pitchay, is actually a Malay style mee goreng located at Kompleks Medan Suri Sungai Nibong. Do not underestimate the greatness of mee goreng, as I went on a Sunday evening and the whole complex was full of people with only a stall opening!
Mee Goreng Pitchay (RM3.50) was fried to exhibit a certain degree of wetness, and the tomato sauce coating the noodles provided a kick to the taste buds upon savouring them. The portion is not big and it was indeed gratifying to have a plate of Mee Goreng Pitchay in a lovely Sunday evening after lunch.
The Pasembur (RM3.50) deserved applauses, largely contributed by the nice sauce they used. The tomato sauce was bold, providing a nice fragrance of tomato with an acceptable level of spiciness. Consuming the sauce alone even is an enjoyment.
