Their fragrance pandan rice steaming smell was the reason luring me to try out their Nasi Lemak. If you have been using Jalan Bayan often, you will notice a metal tent built on the sidewalk, with a big signage telling you they are selling Nasi Lemak Kukus here. Lotsa curry dishes offered to pick, just like nasi kandar style.

They are the 2nd in Malaysia to initiate the Suspended Meal program, just started last week. We have heard of Suspended Meal/Pending Coffee which has been running for some times in country like Italy, United States and more. Suspended Meal is an initiative whereby you pay extra on top of your meal, so the needy person may benefit from your kindness.
It is wonderful to find this practice emerging Malaysia. Their suspended meal was not limited to homeless or poor, but also for anyone in need or having temporary financial rolling difficulty are welcomed to claim the meal.

I went for the basic Nasi Lemak with poach egg and anchovies, added extra pandan chicken and mixed kuah of course. I was pretty impressed the way they sided the sauce so that we still can savour the original taste of the rice. Nasi Kukus Pendekar Mustar paid a lot focus on the rice, even it is aromatic to eat on its own.  The rice was cooked with a lot of pandan leave, coconut milk and a little bit of salt. Slowly blend in little bit of the curry sauce gave me much saporous sensation. This plate cost me for RM 4.50
On separate visit, we were intrigued to try out their Rendang Clam and Sambal Udang Petai. The clam was nicely coated with the rendang fragrance, exuding a bit of coconut milk essence. For the sambal udang petai, heavenly appetizing with the salty kick of sambal and the crunchy petai biting pleasure.Â
Another plate we have fruitful meal with Chicken and Beef Sambal, along with their crunchy anchovies.
