The reputation of Penang Hokkien Mee, or known as prawn mee to Malaysian from the central regions is indisputable. As far as we have come across, most of the nice hokkien mee are centralized in the northern or central part of Penang, while only are found in Bayan Baru and Bayan Lepas only.
Nevertheless, Bobo Hokkien Mee is one of the renowned hokkien mee located at Lip Sin to the extent that you have to take a number to dine in!.
Place your order to the chef and you will be given a number for dining in. After that, find a seat then they will call your numbers and serve it to your table when the noodles are ready. Do remember to acknowledge when they call your numbers though. Waiting time vary and our experience was waiting for about 20 minutes.
The number of immense customers patronizing the hokkien mee never come unjustified. The soup is rich with pleasant prawn scent and not really oily. Ardent hokkien mee lovers would definitely enjoy a bowl of noodles in the morning here.
Tried their wantan noodles as well and it was just mediocre.
