If you pass by the Taiping town in Perak, give these two popular Malay style cendol a try. They are Bismilah and Ansari. I bet the local might prefer one than another, but we enjoy both of them. They have made quite a history there with Ansari has been operating since year 1940 while Bismilah since year 1993. What we love most is the option to add on pulut, which is glutinous rice. Despite the weather humid or rainy, a small bowl of chiling cendol dessert makes us contented. The chewy texture from the cendol itself, with the grainy texture from the red bean, an addition of sticky glutinous rice for a salty touch, accompanied by the sweet and chilly coconut water are perfect. Be sure to try them earlier as their pulut selling fast.
