Having passed through Sunway Tunas countless time and this corner lot shop - Originally Bangkok Tomyam has been put under our radar. The huge banner and its always full house condition have further enhanced our confidence toward it. Although serving majority Thai cuisine, the restaurant is operated by Malay community.

It would be so wrong to miss out Tomyam whenever we come to restaurant serving Thai food. The tomyam is priced at RM 12.90 with the choices to go along with Po Thek (clear soup), mixed, seafood or prawns. The tomyam is served hot by continuous heating, and the sweet and sour soup is indeed appetite opening. There are generous quantity of squid and 2 prawns in our seafood tomyam then.

On the other hand, Tomyam Po Thek (RM 12.90) has a more contrasting and tangy taste. It will be an excellent choice to increase the appetite.

Sotong Goreng Bawang Putih (RM 12.90) was totally beyond our expectations and too scrumptious to be missed out. Generally, we disdain those calamari rings which were over coated with flour, as the feelings were more like eating flour instead of the filling, and the sotong goreng here really hit the mark.

The calamari rings were coated with the right amount of floor, and it was fried to perfection and exhibited excellent elasticity. Not to miss out the green chili sauce, which blended well with the fried calamari and even best eaten with plain rice.

We thought the Kangkung Belacan (RM 7.90) here could be done more spicy and hot.

Koay Teow Goreng (RM 5.90) served here can put up a tough fight against char koay teow by the Chinese. The koay teow was fried to smooth, and the crucial part was the egg was semi cooked and stick against the koay teow, imparting a pleasant taste. The only downside would be it was fried too oily.

Nasi Goreng Bangkok (RM 6.90) is heavily spiced with turmeric, giving arises to yellow colour rice granules. In between the rice granules, there are presence of thai lemongrass. Although no trait of chili has been sighted, somehow the fried rice has a hint of spiciness.
