Oh Kio Dessert (O Gio Aiyu Jelly) @ Weld Quay, Penang

Aiyu jelly is Taiwan's traditional summer desserts made from fig seeds, that is almost available in every night market. How this white van gained this Oh Kio designation is just because aiyu is pronounced as ogio in Taiwanese hokkien. Since Penang is having summer all year long, O Gio dessert located along side weld quay street is absolutely a life saver. They offer 4 types of dessert here: aiyu jelly, cendol, basil seed jelly drink and daun pegaga drinks. However, O Gio has been their signature dessert, served either with or without shaved ice.
