The Food Bazaar of Design's Village Penang's Outlet Mall (DVO), your next check-in point for food and Instagrammable shoot. This food hall is the latest eatery joining the Food Street in DVO, offers a nice atmosphere that commingle the modern with the 1960' vintage.
Get "Lost in Time"
Stepping into the Food Bazaar for sure will liven up everyone's nostalgic feeling. The award-winning BluWater Studio has designed this place with the theme of "Lost in Time" to reflect the nostalgic "Kopitiam" ambiance, yet recaptured it in a modern and contemporary context to house a variety of staple local foods.Â
Throughout the food hall, sketches of hawker stalls, old biscuit tins, Milo tins and the classic red thermos flasks are populated at every corner. Various types of corrugated metals and vertical signage are used for the stall fronts to mimic the hawker stall. Pattern tiles that reminiscence of five-foot walkway can be seen on certain tables instead on floors. With the window glass concept, this place has been lit up with natural sunlight. Savour your meal by the window and enjoy the green scenery out there shall make your day.
Big Space and Kids Friendly
Built on the second floor of the 2 storey shops lots (Food Street) spanning over 16,000 sq ft is able to cater up to 600 diners. A mix of eclectic cluster seating is arranged from banquet dining to a communal table to cater guests who come in groups or individuals. This place is kids friendly with a section prepared for families and children where playground equipped for their convenience.
Various Cuisine
The Food Bazaar offers an assortment of local Penang delights such as Char Koay Teow, Asam Laksa, Prawn Noodle, Chili Pan Mee, Nasi Lemak, Chicken Rice and Yong Tau Foo. Some other popularity cuisine such as Western Food and Arab Rice can be found here too.
