As the name suggests, the buffet offers an array of seafood served in different preparation method. From the never-go-wrong seafood on ice, sushi, the conventional Chinese style, the savoury Thai style, grilled seafood and last but not least, the lok-lok (seafood skewers) sections.
Seafood on ice sections features a vast selection of precious seafood. The one and only thing that you should not miss is their fresh lobsters, followed by crabs and prawns. Every piece of the seafood is served on its freshest state, particularly the lobsters and crabs where we were gratified by its juicy flesh. It would be even great if the lobsters were taken to grill and seasoned with salt and pepper.
Moving forward to the next counter, patrons can be expected to pampered with some freshly cut white and red salmon. The hotel chefs were generous with the salmon size, and it seemed it was properly cut with 1cm thickness utilizing the Hira-zukuri cutting technique.
Flipping to the main dishes section, there is an array of seafood inspired dishes such as Prawn Thai Green Curry, Golden Pomfret Braised in Spice Tamarind Sauce, Braised Mussels in 3 Flavors, Kong Po Squid, Stir Fried Nestum Prawns, Stir Fried Grouper with Ginger and Onion, Seafood Paella, Baked Salmon with Pink Pepper Corn Sauce, Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab and etc.
Personally, we felt the dishes here nicely done. For instances, the mussels were decently cooked and maintained its juiciness, yet blended well the 3 flavors sauce. Another must not miss would be their Braised Flower Crab in Spicy Coconut Milk, which best eaten along with their Seafood Paella.
If you are a savoury food person, head over to the soup counter which offers 2 types of soup - seafood chowder and tomyam crab soup, and grab a bowl of the latter one. Rest assured you will be given a full pump of a zesty and spicy sensation.
As Iconic Hotel also opens the wine or beef buffet by topping up RM 50, they serve a few selection of cheese and grapes for wine pairing purposes.

A very unusual approach by the hotel, there is a lok-lok (seafood skewers) corner in the buffet, and you could have fun cooking them in the boiling water prepared, much alike the wine drinks enjoy having lok-lok outside the clubs in the midnight.

Last but not least, check out the dessert section which caters for those having a sweet-tooth. The chocolate fondue is one of the gimmick that will surely draw heart of chocolate connoisseurs.
