8. “Meet Santa” Highlight

Basically this is a meet up with Santa session; Santa will go around function room and lobby to mingle around with guest. We have prepare small gift for guest however they need to follow the below instructions to claim the gift.

Ixora Hotel Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner showcases a great spread of selection to appease your appetite. To begin light, get over to the salad bar and we were amazed with its yogurt dressing choices. The chef did an amazing work, featuring 5 different types of yogurt - classic yogurt, carrot yogurt, salsa yogurt, garlic yogurt and cheese yogurt.

If you prefer a more solid taste as appetizers, take some homemade pickles in oil or various appetizers such as Japanese Baby Octopus Salad, Salmon Gravlax, Vegetable Stick with Guacamole Dips and etc.

We enjoyed having cheese in buffet very much and were excited to see there is a cheese counter with assorted cheese platter. However the cheese served ain't many in quantity, thus be fast to grab some of it before it runs out.

One of the major highlight of the buffet would be Seafood on Ice. There is a generous serving of various seafood such as prawns, oysters, green and black mussels, scallops roe, Vietnamese and Hokkaido scallops, flower crabs and Yabbies. We witnessed how fast the chef refill the oysters trays to ensure all guests have a fair share of access to such delicacy.

Do not miss out their another highlight, the action counter station at the exterior part of Straits Cafe. The chefs there are churning out various delicious grilled food such as assorted sausages (jumbo pepper and jumbo mushroom), chicken, lamb, beef, flower crab, slipper lobsters and red tuna. Also available are Chicken Shawarma with condiments and the symbol of Christmas - Roasted Farm Turkey!

When you are at the exterior part, be sure to grab a cup of their wonderful Nescafe tarik as well.

For conventional eaters, go to the main counters to get some hot dishes such as oven baked spring chicken, salmon garlic fried rice, grilled seabass and so on. However, our advise is, save your stomach for the highlight dishes.

Ixora Hotel also paid extra details to their dessert counter to bring out the Christmas atmosphere. Check out the Yule log cakes, candy canes, X'mas Pudding, Christmas cookies and many more. Fret not for the calories intake, as Christmas is just once per year only thus make yourself savour the best of the day in this auspicious holidays.
