Xin Ji De Shi Hong Kong Dimsum @ Jalan Air Itam, Penang

It wasn't hard to grab something when you are hungry in the middle of the night at Penang. What if you are bore of McDonald, Green hour hokkien mee, Lebuh Presgrave Hokkien Loh, Ramly burger, Teow Chew Porridge or even mamak? You can consider grabbing some finger foods at Xin Ji De Shi HK Dim Sum. They open till late 4 in the morning. With the limitation of the shop's size, they are practicing self-service orders where you pick up your steamed dim sum choices and they help you reheat them. Fried dim sum selections would be more in the morning.

Overall, their dim sum definitely satisfy my yearning. Price is reasonable which ranging from RM 1.30 to RM 4.80. Their prawns are fresh while meats are tender. Although they didn't give me the wow kick but they are flavorful which I don't mind to pay them second visit.

Yee Mee (RM 5.50), Char Hor Fun and Sang Mee are available too if dim sum just can't fill your stomach. Their yee mee is more towards the salty side but the prawns are really fresh.

We dined in around 12, thus only fried Prawn Rolls (RM 4.60) and radish cake are available. Egg tarts and more fried dim sums would be available in the morning. Their prawn rolls are crispy from the skin and chewy from the inside. Lips-smacking dish.
