Aloft Hotel @ KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur

I had the privilege to stay at Aloft Hotel during my trip to Kuala Lumpur (KL) recently. Stylishly located just beside KL Sentral, it is the largest Aloft Hotel in the world. The strategic location just beside KL Sentral Station also makes it a prominent choice for business travellers. Aloft Hotel is brand of Hotel under the umbrella of Starwood Hotels, with the other branded name included Meridian and Sheraton. 

A circular shape aloha desk, designed like a DJ console bar welcomes you in the centre of lobby. However, the check in speed was a slight disappointing as they only have one receptionist manning the counter at about 11pm.

I had a double twin room and I have to compliment the room was indeed comfortable and spacious. Although it was a sharing room but they provide a queen size, or king size bed for each of us. I was rather surprise when get to know each of us were provided 4 pillows and a bolster. From my previous experience at different hotel, bolster only will be provided on request basis. Kudos to Aloft Hotel.

Basic toiletries were provided and they have large holder for body and hair shampoo. The clothes cabinet was attached together to the bathroom with a corridor separating them, and what I meant attach together is there is a lockable door separating the bathroom and clothes cabinet with the rest of room. It causes a little hassle as I could not go to take my clothes when my roommate is showering or using the toilet. There was no bath tub too :(

On top of that, the management also encourage you to decline housekeeping services for environmental friendly purposes and offer you 250 starpoints for each day you opt excluded from housekeeping.

Well, Aloft Hotel was indeed one of the great hotel I have stayed. With futuristic and elegant design, I have a comfortable stay here and readily charged for my works on the next day. The Wifi speed in the room was really fast, at least in the context of Malaysia and it really help a lot as I need the wifi for working purposes. They have also 24/7 gym facilities available for you to sweat out some toxic from your body. Rooftop swimming pool is available as well.

Another credit is that Aloft Hotel is smoke free hotel Guests who found smoking, even in room will be incurred a penalty of RM300 for room cleaning. Yay for that.
