Who would expect selling Satay can even expand into owning a shop? Yes, Ah Basri did it. They have been moving around at Bayan Baru area in the past 7 years. They have settled down at one of the shop lot at Jalan Tengah, before they were at D'Piazza and earlier at Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim. They had made a few public appearance on local newspapers, popular for their satay made of exotic meat, which are ostrich, rabbit, horse and deer. The not so exotic choices would be squid, prawn, beef, lamb and chicken. You may thought, oh how would I get a full meal with just satay? Worry not as they offer you satay wrap or much tummy filling choice of rice set that come with drink, salad and soup.
We opted for original chicken (RM 1.20), original lamb (RM 1.80), black pepper chicken (RM 1.60), tandoori chicken (RM 1.60), original deer (RM 2) and original ostrich (RM 2). We have play try and guess game while trying their satay as most of them in similar color except for tandoori chicken and orginal chicken. We hardly can tell what type of meat are they. However, we enjoy their satay that no fat hidden among the meat. Every skewered meat perfectly grilled to keep its tenderness. Although the price is one higher side, but it worth every penny you paid.
Even their dipping sauce has go out of norm. It wasn't the typical peanut sauce but we could not tell what does it made from.
