This outlet has ceased operation.
The certified largest curry restaurant chain in Guinness World Record has finally set foot in Penang. This is after their first outlet at 1-Utama in Malaysia. The response of their curry rice in Queensbay Mall was overwhelming since it is opened. We waited for the heats to cease a little bit only then try it out, thus no queue needed. It is fun that diners get to customize the portion of rice, level of spiciness for the curry and even additional curry sauce too. The spiciness level can go up to level 5, this is a good news for spicy devotees. It is even possible for you to pair with your desired topping for your personal unique combination. Although the price is slightly on the higher side, but it would be a great place for you to enjoy the different side of curry in Japanese style.

We opted for their set meal with their recommended Pork Cutlet Omelette (RM 26), just with the add on of RM 9. Fresh salad and miso soup were served as the appetizer. The portion for the appetizer was slighter bigger than the usual set meal you find in most Japanese restaurant, better in taste too. This has gave us high expectation on their curry rice coming up next.
Beautiful runny omelette and crispy pork cutlet delicately arranged on top the white rice, surrounded with curry in level 1 spiciness. The tenderly pork, blanketed with crispy skin, dipped in their savory curry was mind blowing. Scooped a little bit of the omelette and the sticky rice, then enjoy the chemical effect between the sweet savory sauce and the eggy aroma. You may think we just pick level 1 spiciness, it was not because we are lousy spicy eater, just that we wish to savour the greatness of their curry more but with a little hint of spicy excitement.
The meal ended with dessert, the vanila ice cream with canned fruit and a piece of waffles. The ice cream should be early prepared on plate with the fruits and then left it in fridge. We experience ice crystal gluing the ice cream to the plate.
The radish pickle is the must add for their curry rice. |
