Salon Brownies and Mocha |
Flipping through the menu has downed us into a difficult situation as the items seemed to be too good for not to order; and the entire mind has been manifested by chocolate by looking at the 3 chocolate fountains in the restaurant. You may choose between the 3 different types of chocolates - dark chocolate, white chocolates and/or milk chocolate to complement the dish.
Chocolate Brownies (RM23.50)Ā has a rather large brownies topped with creme cheese and fruits, and the chocolate is served on a separate cup. The brownies come with a spongy texture, complemented well by the creme cheese and chocolate syrups by the quantity of our choice. The snacking of fruits provided in between brownies provided a washout period to maintain the chocolate intensity at the right level, leaving a greater capacity to enjoy next chocolaty dish.
The cocoa they used to make the chocolate should be of great quality, as it did not contain the artificial chocolaty taste nor too overwhelming to cause distasteful.

Mallow Crepe (RM24.90)Ā is a folded crepe filled with marshmallows topped with chocolate. The blanket of chocolate topping the crepe was of heavenly taste, at the meantime the marshmallows oozing between the thin layer of crepe. The half melted marshmallows were made to perfection as it was not too sweet while its taste can still vividly sampled on the tongue.
Actually while writing the blog, I only realised we could actually choose all 3 types of chocolate as the topping but the waitress asked us "do you want to have milk chocolate, dark chocolate or white chocolate?".Ā
Mocha (RM11.00)Ā has a fair balance chocolate and coffe taste.
For just the 2 of us, two chocolate dishes seemed to be too intense for us. A plate of chocolate dish to share between would be better. We observed a few tables with a couple or a bachelor whom left quarter or even half of the dish after leaving the restaurant.Ā
Overall it was a half pleasant experience dining at the restaurant. The design of the restaurant was cosy and elegant; the staff is friendly and polite too. We were just slightly disappointed as we were misled in making the choice of the toppings.
On top of that, as the restaurant only occupy a small space and only a limited guests can sit in during a particular time, there are always queue of people waiting there. Nevertheless it seems they do not have a proper system managing the queue, some people who came late were served first. Besides, they appear to be understaffed also.Ā
As of the day of the blog, only 10% service charge applicable and no GST dining here.
