We directly fall in love to this place once we stepped into it - Victorian Garden tea house & cafe. Designed with the elegant Victorian style, it gives the patrons a very cosy environment to dine in, sit back and forgo the stresses at work. The tea house has been operating for some time but currently  Jenni cake house has acquired the ownership of the tea house. Thus there is a corner featuring Jenni homemade cakes and available for reservation as well.
There are no much choices of food here but most of them tasted nice. The restaurant seems to be focus more on providing afternoon tea, judging by the presence of afternoon tea stand glass at the counterÂ
A set lunch with Fettucini Carbonara (RM16.80)Â comes with a piece of cake and a cup of ice lemon tea. The sauce was thicker and creamier than the usual carbonara we had, yet it was not overwhelming to neutralise the taste of other ingredients. The chef had chipped in a tremendous amount of mushroom slices topping the carbonara and well garnished it with pepper powder, giving a bit of exercise to your jaws.Â
A set of roast pork (RM19.80) with the porks and mashed potato drenched with tomato sauce. The roasted pork is soft, tender and succulent, making it nice chewing and thank god it was not served with much fatty parts. Though the name suggested roast porks but I hardly could sniff the essence of roasted properties. 5 pieces appear to be insufficient for us as the roasted pork tasted good and we could finished them within minutes.Â
A generous amount of salad was served before the main courses and the string cheeses called out the superiority of the usual plain salad.
Mushroom soup |
Ice lemon tea |
We substituted one of the drink for a set lunch with a cup of Mocha, thus eligible for 30% off of the Mocha.
Complimentary dessert |
A slice of Chocolate Mud Cake (RM10.80) to satisfy the craving by Shirleen for cakes.

ReplyDeleteYup. afternoon tea also sounds reasonable and nice..
ReplyDeleteNevertheless need to exercise a lot after dine in here.. all high calories food.. haha
Avoid their "Special" cheese cake. Base was cream crackers!! That spoilt the whole cake - which is a shame as the cheese portion of the cake was good
ReplyDeleteThat was special indeed haha. It was soggy type cream crackers or packed type?
DeleteI think the base is made by mcvites digestive biscuits. Not a bad substitute for traditional graham crackers. The cheesecakes are quite nice.

DeleteCan't agree more Mcvites biscuits are toothsome..
