There used to be a stereotype that food in Genting are expensive and the queuing time could be devastating. However, in reality there are several food outlets which offer food at a reasonable price and most important, the food is delectable. One of them in our list is The Bakery at Maxim Hotel.
We picked Teriyaki Chicken (RM 27) sandwich and it was a relatively big sized sandwich. It was microwaved prior serving to us, thus the sandwich bread retained a crisp texture. The price tag RM27 was justified by the slices of fresh chicken teriyaki fillings coupled with lettuce. If you are having a hungry stomach, a plate of teriyaki chicken sandwich would have done the job.
The French pastry Turkey and Onion Quiche (RM10)Â was our pick for a quick fix to our stomach. I was attracted by the custard in fact and it did not disappoint us, with essence of egg still vividly tasted. Coupled with the crispy crust and slices of turkey and onions embedded within the custard, it was a nice and light pick of the day. In addition, we really liked the handful of salad leaves served on the side of the plate.Â
The quiche was served cold instead of hot. Perhaps if it was served hot that the custard would have tasted even better.
The Latte (RM15) here does not come with any surprise. Just a cup of normal machine brewed coffee.
