Sushi B'rito @ Setia SPICE Canopy, Bayan Lepas, Penang

Sushi B'rito is the latest eatery added to the revamped Setia SPICE Canopy, or better known as PISA formerly. Over here, a semi fast food concept is being applied, whereby ordering is done at the counter and the servers will deliver the food to your tables. This pretty suited to the motto of Sushi B'rito - "we serve you quick and delicious meal using only freshest high quality ingredients". On top of that, Sushi B'rito is unique in the sense that the food offered is a fusion between Japanese and Mexican concept. For instances, sushi rolls are "elongated" to become sushi burritos instead.

A direct and no-frills menu is being put up at the counter. Patrons can choose to go for ala carte or top up another RM 3 to enjoy a seat meal with additional cup of drink and sides of choices - edamame, fries or miso soup). Then, pick between sushi burritos, rice burgers, Donburi, snack or their latest addition - matcha together withyour preference of ingredients.

The signatures - sushi burritos are something one shall not miss here. We picked their Salmon Sushi Burritos (RM 17.90 - ala carte), and get the kitchen to cut it into rolls for us to ease up the eating process. It was nicely done and the rice remained intact from plate to mouth. There was no need to add soy sauce as the sushi burritos are toothsome on its own.

The Chicken Tori Teriyaki Matcha Burger (RM 13.90 - ala carte) was not something to shout about. Though it was nicely presented, the chicken patty was bland and we could not sample the scent of tori teriyaki. Besides, the burger bun supporting the lower part of the burger was too soggy, perhaps due to absorbing too much of the sauce or thin. This has partly rendered the burger eating process less pleasurable. Most of the taste were in fact derived by the piece of sweet and sour pineapple.
