Red Chopsticks has been around for as long as i-Avenue existed. It is a fusion restaurant that serve almost everything. We were shocked with the Bibble thick menu they have handed us, offering local dishes from Chinese, Malay and Indian, plus Thai Food. Even the desserts offers in variety of choice. Their comprehensive menu and competitive price are the reasons drawing steady stream of customer on regular visit. As their shop name suggest, all chopsticks used in the restaurant are red in colour.
Thai Green Curry Chicken King (RM 18.90), with 15 different spices used to make the green curry. One of the interesting sides would be the Miang Kham, which is actually leaf-wrapped salad bites consist of chopped roasted nut, small dried shrimps, shallots with unique sauce. The Tom Yum soup was on the sweet side while the pandan chicken was elusive. It comes with free Thab Tim Krob, however it was kept frozen for some time therefore it has turned into ice ball.
The next time we had was Hong Zao Wine Mee Suah (RM 16.90) Hong Zao wine is a type of cooking wine made from red glutinous rice that commonly seen in Fujian cuisine. Its subtle flavour gave the Mee Suah a pleasant taste, even heightened with fried ginger to give you a heaty warmth to your body afterwards. Egg, steamed minced pork, spinach and mushroom cubes have been added to balance the meal. This dish came with free home-made ginger tea, we strongly recommend this dish for girl.
