Scrambled Egg and Toast (RM 8.90) might appear like a simple dish but this cafe has made it such a delicacy to relish. The bread is toasted to resemble flaky and crispy outer layer while maintaining a fluffy dough with large air pockets. Upon slicing the bread, crackling sound is vividly heard further justified its crispiness. A large amount of scrambled egg which slightly zest by salt is topping the bread, completing this simple yet delectable dish.
The more popular item here would be their wood-fire Pizza, which is a rare find amongst cafes. We tried their Truffle Pizza (RM 22) and it definitely worth more the price tag. The scent of natural mushroom can be smelt far away when it was served and we appreciated it was being made in Italian pizza style, possessing thin and crispy crust. Initially we were puzzled why there was a raw egg on the pizza, but our queries were answered soon. Spread the raw egg across the pizza top and when coupled with the cheese, the creaminess is heaven-like.
Shame to say, this is our first times trying this egg-baked dish - Soufflé (RM 22). We were informed the Vanilla and Matcha flavour were sold out, and left with chocolate version only. The souffle has a subtle egg flavour and texture, much concealed by the chocolate powder. Amazingly, the souffle has a texture that melt instantly upon scooped into mouth and a more moist bottom.
Then we enjoy the afternoon with a cup of Long Black (RM 9.90) and Cappuccino (RM 10.90).
