DCS Cafe @ Setia Alam, Selangor

We stumbled across DCS Cafe while randomly seeking for a teatime venue at Setia Alam. DCS is actually abbreviation of "delicious, cuisine, satisfaction". Perhaps Setia Alam folks would familiar with DCS cafe as previously they used to operate in Setia City Mall.

DCS cafe is serving a range of premium coffee of different brewing method, such as aeropress, V60, Chemex and clever, alongside with western food, dessert and tea. It it notable that there are a range of coffee brewing equipments at the bar counter.

Feeling impressed over its varieties of coffee making utensils, we were tempted to order their hand brewed coffee. The brewed coffee is priced at RM 16.50 regardless of method of brewing.

We had V60 Ethiopian Sidamo which comes with a nice fruity scent. The barista was well thought by serving us a cup of ice, just in case we want to enjoy the coffee in cold state. The coffee had a significant bitterness toward the end, while the bitterness is totally absent in cold state but with a reduced coffee scent. Perhaps there are some other factors influencing the overall taste of the coffee?

The Waffle - Oreo Rum & Raisin (RM 17.90) was spectacular. Sitting on the plate was a thin layer waffle and topped with 2 scoops of rum ice cream, and finished with handful of Oreo crunches and raisins.
