Some said you never considered been to Alor Setar if you never tasted Raddish with Fish here, which is an unique dish we have come across nowhere else. The popular eatery that serves such dish is SK Kim, located at Jalan Kampung Perak.
The dish is simple yet delectable. A fresh steamed fish is topped with enormous quantity of fried raddish. Initially, we thought those shining gold stuff were fried garlic. However, it turned out to be a special formulated fried raddish with garlics and chili. The crisp texture complemented the gentle flesh of the fish well.
We were misled by the name raddish with fish, thinking it would be a salty dish. The reality is that the raddish was a mixture of sweet and salty taste, with a hint of hot burning. We could just take a little of the raddish and eat it along with plain rice for an ideal lunch.
Kung Po Mantis Prawn was cooked with a very bold and appeasing taste. It was great but I would love it come with more accompanying sauces.
The pea shoots has a decent homecook feelings.
The total cost for the above meal, including 2 drinks and 1 bowl of rice cost us RM 52.00.
