Alamak is a relatively new dinner and supper destination at Jalan Gottlieb, occupying the corner space of the famous Taman Emas Laksa. Featuring a simple menu with only 2 main dishes - Maggi Goreng and Nasi Lemak, alongside with a few selections of breads and drinks.
Unlike majority of the mamak stalls, Alamak uses Indomie to prepare their maggi goreng, resulting a different aromatic noodle. It is then topped with fried shallots, unique sambal, slices of cucumbers and sunny side up, while the fried chicken drumstick is optional. Personally we liked the texture of the noodles as it was partially wet and still well retained its springy texture.
The fried chicken is worth the add-on if you do not mind about the calories intake at late night.
The nasi lemak is equally good, however it tasted more like a fried rice for us with an elusive taste. Traits of small anchovies can be found hidden within the rice.
Coconut Shake (RM 4) is a must have drink here. The coconut fibers are still vividly tasted and it still remained icy cool after being left over there for some time.
