Coffee on the Table is a cafe at Beach Street Penang, well known for serving their 3D latte art with foam, providing some picturesque selfie opportunities to be posted in Instagram to show off your awesome weekends.

We are more interested to sample the quality of their coffee instead. Thus we ordered a Dirty Chai Set (RM 22.00), which was served along with a cup of Biscotti. We agreed the price was rather steep but the Italian almond biscuits Biscotti was great in taste, even just by having it solely without mixing with the coffee.

As for the cup of Dirty Chai, it was purely a gimmick on the 3D Art. We could not sense any essence of chai or espresso at all. If not of the Biscotti, we would really in confusion why the set has a price tag of RM 22.

On the other hand, Smoked Salmon Capacio (RM 15.90) was real good. Featuring Norwegian Smoked Salmon in Italian dressing albeit a little salty, the taste was above satisfactory. You may opt to eat the salmon slices with the French Baguette for a much full sensation, though it was as good when eating alone.

The cafe is not stingy on dishing out the salmon slices too. At RM 15.90, you will be surprised on the portion size.

Another dish we tried - Vongole in White Wine Sauce (RM 24.90) was a success in appeasing our tongue again. It had a handful of fresh clams topping the spaghetti noodles, till we wondered was we wrongly served. The spaghetti noodles were drenched in white wine sauce with a hint of spiciness, which was rather unusual but the taste was amazing. After the spaghetti noodles were consumed, make sure not to cause any wasted to the white wine sauce as white wine ain't come cheap.

The server was attentive enough to provide a separate utensil to put the shelves of the clams.
