We got to know this wantan mee hidden in the neighborhood of Island Glades when two of Penang pioneers bloggers Criz and Steven mentioned it in Facebook. Then they were talking about it how delicious it was, and we were tempted to try it after they reopen.
Available at both dry and soup version, each bowl of wantan mee cost RM 3.80 for standard size and served along with a handful of vegetables, two pieces of wantan and some non-dyed char siew.
On a personal preference, we preferred the dry version over the soup version. The noodles are al-dente, and well appeasing to the chewing pleasure. Balance mixture of soy sauce and sesame oil also yielded a nice and umami taste.
Besides, the char siew also nicely seasoned and roasted. Though the wantan was small in size, it packs some nice filling.
The soup version is too light in taste for our liking. Nevertheless, it still serves well to warm up the stomach to start the day.
