The franchise Kapitan Tandoori Restaurant has sneakily making their way into Bayan Lepas Area, setting up their new branches in Setia Triangle, marking the second eatery in the prominent area after McDonald's. Kapitan Tandoori Restaurants are well known on serving savoury Indian Muslim delicacies such as Tandoori, Briyani, Nasi Kandar and etc. During our first visit during dinner hours on 1st September in conjunction with Hari Raya Haji, the restaurant was full house and we got to wait a while till getting a seat.Â
The Chicken Briyani (RM 11.50)Â is one of the most promising Briyani we tried in Penang. Served in a claypot to maintain its heat, the rice is well cooked and possess an elusive flavour arise from mixture of different spices. The claypot comes with a big chicken wingette attached to drumette that are juciy in the center yet well grilled at the skin layer.Â
While walking across the restaurant to the cashier, we observed majority of the tables are having briyani with an array of accompany dishes.Â
This is our first time come across Chicken Milani. The set of Milani with Garlic Cheese Naan (RM 14.00) comes with 2 pieces of fluffy garlic cheese nan and a piece of chicken drenched in savoury yellow sauce. Cheese dip and coleslaw are provided as an aide to elevate the dish. Either introduce a more creamy texture to the chicken by dripping more cheese or break the savoury with the mild acidity from the coleslaw.Â

Sad to say ,the service from Bangladeshi ,indian is horrible.
ReplyDeleteAsking customers to pay during in the middle of eating. This is a very bad to our Malaysian people being treated by Bangladeshi or indian citizen. Question is where is the superior ?
According to immigration permit , the foreigners workers can work in restaurant helper only for cleaning, clearing and not to serve food to customer. The owner do violates the terms of Working permit.
Wake up for the right of Malaysian.

Unfortunate to know about your bad experience there. Did you try to raise it to the superior in charge?
DeleteHaven't been there for some time. I recall we only need to go to pay the bill upon finishing the food.
