Somewhere up north to Seberang Prai lies a modest stall named Mee Rebus Mak Long, which served one of the best mee rebus in my opinion. It takes a little effort to drive up to such a remote location to savour the mee rebus, though I believe all the efforts were worth it if you are within the vicinity of Kepala Batas.
The mee rebus is served in a thick and pleasant tomato gravy with a tad of spiciness, alongside with some fried chicken cutlets that make it special. Substitution of the fried chicken cutlets to beef is available as well.
Personally it is all the thick tomato gravy that yields all the kick.
