Dim Sum Station 点心栈港式点心餐厅 is a new addition to the Promenade in Bayan Baru, offering folks within the vicinity an access to dim sum breakfast. Contrary to the traditional dim sum restaurant settings whereby pushcarts selling different treats are moving in the restaurant , this eatery practices a modern concept alike the dim sum restaurant in hotels, whereby everything is made in kitchen upon ordering (or made to order, which we are not sure). Dim Sum Station offers a comfortable settings for dine-in, and there is a water bath for you to steam your dim sum though it was served hot. Quality wise, we felt it was great but it did not come cheap at the same time too.

We were there for a Sunday brunch and the restaurant was fully occupied. Nevertheless, they done a decent job in managing the crowd by giving a number based on first comes first serve basis on those who were waiting to be seated.
Dim Sum Station did not feature a hefty menu with a wide range of dim sum, but those classics such as egg tarts, siew mai, prawn rolls (har gao), char siew pao and etc are available. The price here is slightly higher than the usual dim sum settings but it was well justified by the quality. Ingredients were fresh and dense, but at the same time we felt it was slightly greasy than usual as well.
Service was okay but waiting time for the dim sum to be served from the kitchen may be long. We waited an average of 15-30 minutes for all the things to be served, despite our small orders only.
