Not a regular cafe that offers grand and fascinating theme, Narrow Marrow is a little cafe snugging in a heritage house with feeble facade in Carnarvon Street, making public tends to overlook it. Moreoever, it used to be a cafe operates during weekend only (it was revised recently), rendering visiting Narrow Marrow a challenge as weekend used to be occupied for us. Despite all the seemingly drawbacks, the cafe managed to pull in customers perpetually thanks to its outstanding coffee and dessert coupled with the peculiar environment.
Many of the items in Narrow Marrow such as desks and paintings appeared to be some random and unorthodox gluing, yet they stood out with their rummy combinations. The paint on the wall has worn out but it portrays an unique style, which is best for Instagram shot.
Salted Gula Melaka Cheese (RM 15) |
Tiramisu (RM 15) |
The food menu is rather simple and weak with limited choice, yet the quality are quintessential. We tried both Salted Gula Melaka Cheese Cake and Tiramisu (out of the 3 cakes available during our visit), and were impressed by the taste. Salted Gula Melaka Cheese Cake is an interesting combination packed with a dense cheese layer and topped with the delicious walnut and solid crumbs, while Tiramisu is a classic to enjoy. Glad to know that these cakes were made in-house and not imported elsewhere.
Cappuccino (RM 12) |
Matcha Latte (RM 10) |
The coffee here makes a good afternoon to be spent here as it supposedly to come in double shot, judging from its slight bigger cup.
