The famous curry mee at Maga coffee shop in Jalan Perak has expanded their business to Bayan Lepas, make it one of the latest eatery joining Golden Triangle. Their signature dry and soup curry mee still stapled to the menu with additional choices such as Jumbo Curry Mee and Nyonya Curry Mee to cater for a wider variety of market. Bearing a shop name Lao Mu Zi Curry Mee, they are heavyweight in hawker fare in Penang, having won the best curry mee title in The Battle of Penang Hawker Masters 2012.

During our visit, we had a bowl of Jumbo Curry Mee (RM 13.90) - primary for Instagram purposes and Nyonya Lam Mee (RM 5.90), and steered away from their signature and usual curry soup or dry version. It did not disappoint, as the Jumbo Curry Mee still carry their aromatic curry soup traits, and the addition of various ingredients such as roasted pork, cockles, beancurd skin were complementing the noodles well. Add on some of their signature chili paste for a more spicy sensation.
Nyonya Lam Mee on the other hand was equally good. The simple clear broth has a good refreshing taste and it marks all the elements in the traditional lam mee.
