The esteemed 45 years old fining Dining restaurant at Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa - Feringgi Grill is a place where Penang folks share memories of special moments in their life. Over the years, the hotel itself and Feringgi Grill restaurant have won numerous awards, with the latest prestigious accolades in their bag is the "Innovative Restaurant" in the International Restaurant category from Malaysia Tourism Award 2016/2017, triumphing over hundreds of other competitive nominees nationwide based on food quality, value for money, food and beverage selection, decor and ambiance, service and creativity of promotions. Feringgi grill's name was inspired by the renowned Feringgi beach. Some of the regulars would affectionately call the restaurant, The Grill. Feringgi Grill was established in late 1973, located on the vantage point on the mezzanine floor of Rasa Wing at Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, Penang, The restaurant provides breath-taking views of the beautifully landscaped gardens spanning 30 acres around the resort.
Guests who prefer privacy dining experience can take advantage of the 2 private rooms, "Francis Light" and "William Light", or opted for the bigger and relax cigar room. Extensive range of wines, champagne and spirits are up to be picked from their cellar.

Hokkaido Scallops, the popular entree comes with thinly sliced silky hokkaido scallops, refreshed with limes and playfully touch from the green chili, pistachio, herbs and edible flowers. Equally luxurious starter, Seared Foie Gras accompanied by fig, grapes, Melba toast and Rosella reduction. The platting itself is an art.
Moving on to Asparagus Soup to warm up the stomach for the main. Light and smooth creamy soup with poached egg and truffle, which is poured in front your eyes upon served.

Fish lovers has to try the Snapper, flavoured with seaweed butter, garnished with caviar, capers, peanut, chives, and lemon to create the zesty touch. Fish skin was deep fried to create gradation of texture to the Snapper. Alternatively, savour the tender and juicy Duck Breast that glazed with green peppercorn sauce, and beautifully dressed with green vegetables and raspberry.
Traditional Crepes Suzette |
Traditional Crepes Suzette, the timeless classics dessert at Feringgi Grill that never go out of style. The folded crepes is coated with caramelized fresh orange juices and ignited with Grand Marnier, so get ready to be wowed by the live action cooking done at the side of the table. The crepe is then served immediately with vanilla ice cream and fresh berries.
