Bean Sprout Cafe @ Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, Georgetown, Penang

Bean Sprout Cafe is a beautiful rustic 2 storey cafe at Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, overseeing the historical Temple of Goddess Mercy (Kuan Imm Teng) on its second floor. The cafe offers a range of western menu with a range of coffee. Compound wise is relatively large, where guests can dine in at the air conditioned ground floor, while the second floor might get humid when the weather is hot. We enjoyed the food and drink here, albeit it comes with a slightly higher price tag.

Big Breakfast (RM 20.50) and Rose Latte (RM 12.00)

Aglio Olio (RM 19.80)

We thoroughly enjoyed both the dishes we had for the day - Big Breakfast and Aglio Olio. While omelette, frankfurter, salad and red beans are nicely executed, the highlight of the Big Breakfast would be their Avocado spread on the nicely toasted bread.

Their Aglio Olio is also nicely done with al-dente spaghetti noodles, topped with mushrooms, tomatoes, and sprinkles of cheese. The flavour comes well from the olive oil and pepper, albeit oil was slightly excessive which might be neglectable by some.
