If you have the opportunity to pass by Jalan Servis, the road leading the way out from Northam Hotel, most likely you would see some table and chairs setup by both side of the roads and surprisingly many people are dining there. There are a drink stall and it offers nasi lemak, samosa and various snacks and during our visit, our heart was capture by this modest mee goreng stall.
Mee Goreng |
Bihun Goreng |
Crackling sound of wok can be heard when the chef fries the noodles. Various type of noodles such as yellow noodles, vermicelli (bihun), koay teow and maggi are available for selection with a standard price of RM 4 each plate. The noodles are then served on two sheets of banana leaves following the customary practice, believing it will give a more aromatic scent.
Both Mee Goreng and Bihun Goreng are a tad moist which gives a more sleek finishing, and it is spicy to enjoy. For RM 4 only, the generous portion of noodles serve well to satiate the empty stomach.
