There is no secret about our special affection toward tomyam and maggi noodles. The latest place for us to enjoy a bowl of piping hot tomyam and delicious fried maggi noodles we discovered is a modest stall in Leong Huat Seng Coffee Shop at Bayan Lepas. The stall is ever busy, with majority of the patrons throng the coffee shop orders the noodles from them. A selection of ingredients are offered for you to choose to go along with the noodles but we opine that simplest version, which is noodle with fried fish fillet are more than good enough.

Fish porridge

On a personal preference, the fried maggi noodles here is one of the many we have came across that we truly enjoyed. It is fried to a bit moist, and the chef put onions and shallots to spice up the noodles. Although there are various ingredients available for add-on, the price could go really to the extent for RM 15 - RM 20 per bowl, thus we enjoyed to have it just with decently fried fish fillet.

If you do not enjoy maggi noodles, mee hoon would be a good substitute as well.

Tomyam noodles on the other hand is well equipped with hot sensation. Spicy intolerance people is suggested to stay away from it, otherwise you risk drenching your shirt with all your sweat.

Another reason that I enjoyed coming here is they open till late evening, allowing me for a dinner upon arrival from airport.

In case you want to enjoy some snacks, do explore the coffee shop for a satay stall manned by Malay. The satay is succulent and come with generous quantity of meat. Price is RM 1 per stick, but definitely worth the value.
