If you have a soft spot for dessert, then Tong Sui Po 糖水铺 at Jalan Seang Teak, Georgetown Penang would make an ideal destination. Serving more than 10 different types of home cooked Chinese style Tong Sui, you can be prepared to fall into a selection dilemma here. Sometimes, we always have a tendency to order Tong Sui upon finish a main meal, as it somehow completes the sense of dissatisfaction after meal. With the discovery of Tong Sui Po, it will be our destination to go occasionally after meal to give the satisfactory feeling.

The selection choices are so immense that we lost track on what to pick. There are cold, hot or even cooling type of tong sui such as peach gum with red date & longan for us to choose.
Almost all of the tong sui here are nicely executed. It is well balanced between the sweet and delicate flavour. If we were to pick a few that we would recommend, it would be their Sago Gula Melaka which exhibits the delicacy of gula melaka in the most perfect way coupled with sago, sweet beancurd with Barley & Gingko and Mango Pamelo Sago with Ice Cream.
In the scorching hot weather that we Penangites used to endure everyday, those chilling tong sui such as Mango Pamelo Sago with Ice Cream, Honeydew with Ice Cream, and Watermelon Sago with Ice Cream would be the perfect choice.

Other than that, belacan chicken wing or curry chicken with mantou are great choices too. These 2 are real delicious, especially the thick curry that goes excellent with their mantou! Anyhow, these items are available on certain days only, thus do check with the owner for more information.
