Art Nature Cafe is a place that focuses on fresh coffee and healthy fusion food. A fraction of Penangites might have been to the cafe in Komtar ICT Mall (which location will be relocated to elsewhere) but the cafe originates from Alor Setar in fact. Serving vegetarian food, the cafe might not be the most hipster destination for your weekly cafe fix but rest assured the food here are delicious, apart from some Insta-worthy garden shot if you are into Instagram. Art Nature Cafe is secluded in a neighbourhood, as the owner Anthony said he enjoys his cafe in that way to fit his lifestyle.
Handmade noodle (RM 9.90) here would make a great choice as a staple food. The noodles are akin to Pan Mee, served along with mushrooms, broccoli, carrot slices and black fungus. Seasoning is more on a light side and soft tuned, while portion is enormous. On the contrary to the lighter taste of the handmade noodle, the Black Burger (RM 15.90) packs a punch of strong flavour, thanks to the combination of mayonnaise and egg. Though it is a vegetarian burger, the patty gives some great crunchy texture.
We were left in a conundrum to choose between Salted Egg Croissant and Matcha Lava Croissant (RM 8.90 respectively) as they were real intriguing. Eventually, our choice - Matcha Lava Croissant did not disappoint. Though the appearance might be uninspiring with the dampened Matcha flake on the croissant surface but the taste is awesome. The Matcha liquid practically oozes from the flaky and thin croissant upon slicing them, and gives a sleek nice Matcha taste.
Cappuccino (RM 8) was alright but we were impressed with their Ginger + Orange + Carrot Juice Combination. At the price tag RM 8 only, the concoction was awesome with a hint of spiciness from ginger while the carrot and orange builds up the fibrous body.
