Big Galley's Cafe has been operating for some time at Long Island Trade Center, Alor Setar. A fusion style cafe, the menu offerings include both Western and local dishes. Its warm colour ambiance powered by the yellow bulbs, coupled by the minimalist yields a cozy environment for an evening chit-chatting session. Food is not expensive but ain't impressive neither. It is alright if you come for a quick fix of dinner but for a delightful dining experience, then we would suggest you look for other alternatives.
The signature here is Momotaro Chicken (RM 16.90), available in regular and extra cheese (top up another RM 2.50). It is a chicken chop topped with mozarella cheese, served along with nachos, fries and salad. Chicken chop was alright but the cornstarch coating was too thick, and cheese topping hardly serve any purposes other than its rubbery texture. Serving the fries beneath the chicken chop is an awkward practice somehow but the nacho is great.
Yan Chow Fried Rice (RM 8.90) is alright and the fried chicken nugget is good. It would be better if the fried rice served has a higher temperature. Meanwhile, skip the Nescafe here as they are on a mission to create a diabetic world.
