Good Health and Well-Being
These are our some ideas on developing Sunway Valley City along one of the UN Sustainable Development Goal - Good Health and Well-Being.
Indirectly, this is encouraging a healthy lifestyle by promoting exercising, and also helps to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide and hence, pollution is reduced too.
Designated Smoking Area - No Smoking in Public
On top of that, the community clinics can be setup with the facility of tobacco cessation clinics to encourage people to cease from smoking. Such initiative also concur with the initiative of Ministry of Health Malaysia to reduce smokers through various programs, such as Kempen Tak Nak Merokok and KOTAK (Kesihatan Oral Tanpa Asal Rokok).
The World Health Organization Constitution (1946) envisages "the highest attainable standard of health as a fundamental right of every human being". As such, various measures can be implemented by Sunway Valley City to ensure the citizens here have good accessible to quality healthcare, including primary healthcare, community, paediatrics, geriatrics and dental clinics.
In line with current lifestyle that comes with stress, mental healthcare is a necessity and not a luxury anymore. Psychologists can be stationed in the clinics to help identify those needs helps in their life, and provide necessary treatment for them.
Of course, accessible healthcare does not limit to physically but also financially. As such, the community of Sunway Valley City may engage certain healthcare groups to serve as their panels, giving the residents an advantage in terms of financial to access the healthcare systems provided by these groups.
