Corner Keng 角頭間 @ Precinct 10, Tanjung Tokong Penang

Corner Keng 角頭間is the latest addition to Precinct 10 in Tanjung Tokong. An Asian fusion themed cafe, it rose to popularity among the humongous food & beverage market in Penang. It features a interior of lush greenery with traits of industrial vibes lurking through the ceiling, offering both indoor and outdoor seating cooled by personal fan stationed at every table. The items on the menu is competitively priced, starting from RM 10+ which is a real bargain in Tanjung Tokong area. Moreover, the taste of the food is above average and we found Corner Keng will definitely top the choice as an ideal hangout place.

Their menu choices were so intriguing and we were split with choices. Amongst the dozens of choices, we had Teochew Style Fish Ramen (RM 16.80) and Seafood Tomyam Congee (RM 16.80). Though the Teochew style soup was light and fresh, it did not come with our expected taste that packed with zest arise from tomatoes and sour plums. Nevertheless, overall soup taste was alright. Ramen texture was good and it was packed generously with various ingredients such as meat balls, fish fillets and mushrooms.

Meanwhile, Seafood Tomyam Congee texture was perfect - mushy and fine to a smooth consistency. Though not exactly hot and spicy like the conventional tomyam taste, overall the taste was good for us. The congee was soothing, something which we would definitely come back in future.

Due to the enormous crowd here, the waiting time for the food to arrive was longer than we expected - probably about 30 minutes. Luckily we had a order - Thai Fish Cake (RM 12.80) to satiate our appetite while waiting. The Cappuccino (RM 8.80) is alright too.

Well, we would definitely come back to Corner Keng again in near future!
