Hidden Maggie Mee Goreng at Car Park on Anson Road Georgetown Penang

Students from KDU or white collars working nearby Jalan Anson would be familiar with this hidden Maggie Goreng Stall, and has been having lunch here for many occasions. Some call it TNB Maggie Goreng, and the real name is Mamu's Maggie Goreng actually. As a matter of fact, this stall churn out a plenty of dishes, namely Nasi Goreng, Mee Goreng but people still come here for their famed Maggi Goreng, and this has thrust-ed us to give this famous maggie goreng a try.

It takes pretty long time (probably 20 minutes or even longer) for the chef to prepare the maggi goreng after ordering even though there were not a big crowd. Out of curiosity, we took a peep at what the chef was doing and it happened that he was frying egg while a big pot of noodles have been prepared at side.

The truth is that the appearance of the maggie goreng did not look appetizing at all. It looked like a bowl of maggi soup that has been left there for some time and the soup have been absorbed fully by the noodles, giving it a very sticky outlook. Taste wise, we felt it was alright. There were nice curry flavour but the overall mushy texture just not our preference, and somehow ruined the taste in our opinion. Nevertheless, if you happen to enjoy the sticky texture, give a try and see how do you feel.
