This unassuming hawker selling wan tan noodles in Lebuh Acheh is probably one of the most underrated food among hundreds of restaurants, cafe and hawker within Georgetown UNESCO Heritage Area.
Having been operating since 2000, the uncle owning the stall sells delicious wan tan noodles - a dish of egg noodles tossed in dark soy sauce and sesame oil, then topped with dumplings, slices of char siu (roasted pork) and vegetables. What makes the stall here unique is they offer choices of having pre-fried noodles or fresh egg noodles. You may order some dumplings at additional cost.
Each bowl of noodle is priced at RM 4.50. Regardless whether you pick the conventional noodles or fried noodles, both are equally awesome. The conventional noodles (think or thin) has al-dente noodles with great aroma, complemented by the sweet side from dark soy sauce and a slight heat component from the chili.

You can pick to have either thin or thick for the fried noodles too. Comparing to the conventional noodles, the fried noodles are crispier and exhibit a more distinctive texture. Fried noodles are not something that get offered in traditional wantan noodle store so it is good to try it here.
On the other hand, do not miss out their dumpling (sui gow) too. Priced at RM 1.90 per piece, it has great filling wrapped in a decently thin wrapper. The soup accompanying the dumpling might a little bit sweet to enjoy but overall it was great.
