Krong Nok Thai Food is a new Thai restaurant just began its operation in Nagore Square not long ago. Nestled in an UNESCO heritage building, the restaurant features an extensive Thai menu, ranging from the usual Tom Yam or Pad Thai to some stir fried dishes. The taste is quite similar to authentic Thai food but the price may not be cheap though. After all, it is located in a restaurant in Georgetown.
Pad Ka Prao Set (Chicken/Pork/Beef) RM 12 |
Tom Yum Noodle Seafood (RM 18) |
We always crave for a nice Pad Thai so we had a Pad Ka Prao Set for RM 12. Everything come as what you would have in Thailand - nice Pad Thai noodle texture and decent seasoning. On the side of plate there are chili powder, sugar, peanuts and lemon which you can play around to give the Pad Thai a different degree of taste.
The Tom Yum Noodle Seafood (RM 18) was alright but we feel it was mediocre for our liking. Although the soup was rich but we would prefer it to have a stronger tang. It did come with a generous quantity of cilantro to give a well rounded herb scents, along with some seafood ingredients. Perhaps if we have to Tom Yum eaten along with white rice then it would taste better.
Thai Milk Tea (RM 6) |
Thai Milk Tea was a tad sweet for our liking.
