Tucked away in the quaint town of Simpang Ampat, Waiting For You Cafe 一个人咖啡 is a cafe that has its Chinese name mimic the popular Taiwan film. Unlike the cafe in the Taiwan that has sophisticated atmosphere, the one in Simpang Ampat offers simple decorations with an extensive menu, featuring various delicious local fares within affordable price range. Everything was good here except we came here during the fly season where there were clear manifestation of flies in the cafe. Though the cafe was not exactly at fault for that as Simpang Ampat is notorious for flies due to presence of farms but it did put down the eating mood slightly.

Being the traditional fare of Malaysian cuisine, the Nasi Lemak (RM 10.50) here has all essential components of a plate of conventional nasi lemak - fragrant coconut rice, spicy sambal, cucumber slices, anchovies and peanuts although the Nasi Lemak in the cafe is an upgraded version that served with fried egg and fried chicken. Every component here is good but a more aromatic coconut rice and we would preferred a hotter sambal.
The other item we had - Black Pepper Sizzling Chicken (RM 16.80) was surprisingly good. The chicken meat is tender and cooked nicely, then the black pepper sauce really make a nice complement to the chicken, as well as to the fries. It is served sizzling hot so watch out from getting yourself hurt.

The coffee served here did not disappoint too. The signature coffee - Waiting For You Coffee (RM 8.70) has a nice aroma that elevated with a handful of oats. Then the Coffee Milk (RM 4.30) is rich.
Our friends who has been frequenting the cafe commented that other dishes such as Taiwan braised rice is amazing here. We have yet to try it out, and hope to have opportunity to come back again.
