Teels Heritage, the boutique cafe run by the popular Penang brand for sesame oil and Tambun Pneah is partaking the U.S. Fries Fiesta campaign running from 17th July 2019 to 21st July 2019. In this unique campaign, Teels Heritage combined the simple yet delicious U.S. Potatoes with local Penang flavour and turned it into some great delicacies that you dare not imagine. For instance, potato chips with sesame oil!
To spice up further the U.S. Fries Fiesta, you can take part on a Facebook contest by ordering any U.S. Fries Fiesta dish from the participating outlets and post a creative caption and photos of the U.S. Potatoes dish with #MYPotatoesUSA and also "check in" to the participating outlet. Then you stand a chance to win dining vouchers on a weekly basis, and a grand prize of an iPad at the end of the contest!

Teels Heritage has come up with 3 creative dishes featuring U.S. Potatoes, namely Caramelize U.S. Tater Puff with Tomato Chutney & Apple Whiskey Puree (RM 15+), Sesame Oil Scented U.S. Potatoes Chips with Asian Spicy Mayo (RM 15+) and Salted Egg U.S. Waffle Fries (RM 18+).

The first dish - Caramelize U.S. Tater Puff with Tomato Chutney & Apple Whiskey Puree had U.S. Potatoes turned into Tater tots, which has nice crisp and fluffy texture. It is lightly coated with honey, and you can pair these nice finger bites with either homemade apple whiskey puree or tomato chutney. We were amazed at the apple whiskey puree, as it exudes a rich smooth flavour, yet allowing the taste buds to distinguish the natural scent and light sweetness of the tater tots.

Sesame Oil Scented U.S. Potatoes Chips with Asian Spicy Mayo changed the way how we perceived the conventional potato chips. As usual, the chips were sprinkled with salt but it was sprayed with Ghee Hiang signature sesame oil. Alternatively, you may enjoy these chips with Asian spicy Mayo, something similar with Thai chili sauce but has a slight buttery texture. Just dip a bit to enjoy both the aromatic sesame profile coagulated with the richness from mayonnaise taste.

Another dish is definitely Asian all time favourite - Salted Egg U.S. Waffle Fries. Salted egg has never been off from the trend in South East Asian market, and till today it still remained a popular "sauce" that makes us proud.
