10 Things to Do During Your Stay in DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang

Get yourself a room with balcony access in DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang is always an additional advantage. We spent the morning relaxing while enjoying the breeze wafting our face. It has been a while we manage to steal a bit of time off our schedule to enjoy morning in such a way. 

When was the last time you give yourself a break like this?

Should you wish to have moments of child-free time during your stay in hotel, the Kids Club in the hotel will be the answer to your prayers. "Ditch" your kids here while you go for a spa session, or enjoy a romantic stroll by the beach. Fret not as there will be adult supervision in the kids club, and there are a range of activities being planned to let your kids fully emerge themselves with the new fun.

While many hotels offer children pools, DoubleTree by Penang took another different approach by adding a mini water park on top of the children pool. It has a small artificial beach and your kids can build a sand castle there, while those adventurous kids can take on the water slides. 

If you have an afternoon to spare in the resort, why don't head to the Axis Lounge on the ground floor and enjoy a high tea set? The high tea set comes with three tiers pyramid structure of finger foods, featuring both sweet and savoury items such as Green Tea macaroons, puffs, Jasmine scones, tarts and a rather fulfilling sandwiches. 

Axis Lounge is an open space area. Having said that, you may enjoy the natural air but sometimes during scorching hot weather the temperature may be stuffy here. Therefore, wear casual to enjoy the high tea here.

The high tea set is available on daily basis from 1pm - 5pm. Just walk in to Axis Lounge and no advance reservation is required. 

If you are spending your weekend here, why not have your stomach cosseted with the galore of seafood in the Saturday Dinner Buffet - Seafood Buffet at Makan Kitchen? The buffet is priced at RM 128 nett per adult and RM 64 nett per children (6 - 12 years) & senior citizens, where you can feast upon an array of seafood such as mussels, crabs, prawns, scallops, octopus, slipper lobsters freshly from the rock or grilled. Among the many choices available, our favourites are Mussel Tomyam served in coconut which is brimming with a fair balance of sweetness, sourish and spiciness. 

The resort made child-care to topnotch level by having a dedicated junior section in their Makan Kitchen. This area is designed to have children-friendly counters height and a range of food that particularly appease to the kids. Apart from catering to the kids' diet needs, this section also train your kids to be independent in future. 

After a series of heavy indulgence in delicious food, it is time to invite your partner-in-crime for a workout session in the hotel gym! The gym gets exceptional as you can workout while looking at the calming sea. What a serene workout condition.

Time for additional push-ups or another 30 minutes jogging yeah?

As the name suggests, Teddyville Museum is Malaysia's first and largest collection of Teddy Bears from various nations and eras. Some of the bears are made as early as 1900s, including the very first batches of teddy bear ever made, to miniature teddies and even human sized ones. Even the masculine men would have his heart softened here.

Good news is Teddyville Museum is housed within DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang! Entrance fees for Malaysians or In House guests is RM 27 per adult, RM 22 per student and RM 15 per children. Meanwhile, a different tier of charge is applicable for normal visitors.
