Penang Top Theme Park gets Global Recognition
Folks, now you have a new thing to check out in Penang!
ESCAPE Theme Park has catapulted the Pearl of Orient into global map by getting its water slide recognised by Guinness World Records as world longest tube water slide slide, measuring at 1,111 metre! Are you ready to challenge this?
For your information, this water slide is three times longer than the previous record holder in Germany (356m)!
On top of that, the theme park is also going 100% on green and renewable energy by partnering with GSPARX and TNB to build a photovoltaic facility, putting itself on another milestone in International arena.
This is in line with the state Experience Penang Year 2020 and the Penang 2030 Vision.
Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Chow Kow Yeow and Finance Minister of Malaysia, YB Lim Guan Eng jointly performed the official opening of the ESCAPE Gravitiplay, which features the world record tube water slide, tubby racer, hill rider and chairlift. Joining the ceremony was Penang Escape theme park founder and chief executive, Sim Choo Kheng, YB Senator Lim Hui Eng, YB Zairil, YB Yeoh and YB Zolkifly.
