Shahul Hamid Charcoal Mee Goreng Near Penang Stadium @ Lorong Kulit Georgetown

There is an extensive list of delicious Mee Goreng in Penang but one is often missed out by general public - Shahul Hamid Mee Goreng, located near to Penang Stadium and adjacent to Lorong Kulit flea market. The insistence of frying the noodles by charcoal instead of gas probably is the key factor that churn out this delicious plate of Mee Goreng. 

We always ordered our Mee Goreng "extra pedas" and the same also applies to Shahul Hamid Mee Goreng. It renders the plate of noodles a wet texture with nice aroma infused by charcoal. On a separate visit, we tried Mee Goreng with normal spicy level and it was not as nice as the "extra pedas" version.

It is noteworthy that a plate of Mee Goreng with egg only cost RM 4. If you prefer to add on some protein such as squid or chicken, it cost RM 5 and RM 6 respectively.
